Please mark you calendars for May 6, 2018 for Ferndale Day.

About Us

Welcome and thank you for visiting our site. We invite you to JOIN the Ferndale Garden Club!

Established in 1973 the Ferndale Garden Club is an organization comprised of members interested in the same topics, who are concerned with the beauty of our community and who enjoy the friendship of each other. Our members are not only from the Ferndale community but from the surrounding areas and we still have 4 charter members active in our organization. We take much pride in the things that we have accomplished since our inception.

We invite you to check us out by attending some of our meetings or participating in some of our events. We think you will like what we are all about.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to encourage interest in all phases of home gardening and to promote better horticultural practices, civic beauty and the conservation of natural resources.

Our club meets at 6:30 PM on the fourth Tuesday of each month August through May at the Ferndale Senior Center, 7205 Baltimore and Annapolis Boulevard in Ferndale. A business meeting follows each scheduled program except for the month of May when we install our new officers at a dinner meeting.

Our annual community projects include decorating the street lamp posts, the light rail station and the community tree lighting for Christmas, hanging seasonal flags on the lamp posts, planting and maintaining roadside flower planters, sponsoring a community Christmas program and annual spring flower sale, as well as participating in Ferndale Day and the Greater Ferndale Community Civic Association. In addition we contribute to local charitable needs such as providing for a needy family at Christmas.
